Following on from her magnificent 3rd place at the prestigeous Comrades Ultra in South Africa a couple of months ago, Caitriona Jennings finished in a very impressive 7th place at the World 50k championships which were held in Romania today. Caitriona also knocked almost 5 minutes off her own Irish record to finish in a time of 3:19.49.
Back on home soil ,James Kelly was our first finisher at the Tullamore Half Marathon in 13th place overall in a time of 74.56. with Ed Hayes next in 25th place ( 78.39) followed by Mark Yeates (33rd – 79.59) James Nealon ( 57th – 83.32) and Andrea Talpo ( 69th – 84.38).
At the Tara 5k our two runners had a great batlle with Terry Brady ( 14th – 17.29 ) just edging out Alasdair Brown (15th – 17.29).
