We had a good contingent representing their various clubs at the Dublin Senior Cross Country Championships in Santry yesterday. In the womens Caroline ran a very brave race to take on Ciara Mageen ( European 1500m bronze medallist) only to succumb in the latter stages but to still finish in a fine 2nd place. Niamh D was our next finisher in 12th followed by Ilona ( 15th ?) and Niamh B.Caroline and Ilona took home team silver as well. In the men’s race we had a number of good runs with Vinnie and Paul battling it out for the majority of the race with Niall only a couple of places back and also Phil and Conor Mac having good runs as well. I don’t have official results yet , however Paul was 31st so the guys were all in around the 30’s or so. Niall got team silver with his Donore team.
Caoimhin showed he is hitting good form with his 10th place finish at Powersourt Ridge Imra race on Saturday and Jason finished 2nd in the Porterstown Parkrun.
Quick reminder about the Xmas party on Saturday 19th November in Trinity Pavillion @ 7.30pm. Don’t forget its €5 per head which I will collect on the night . We have good numbers confirmed for this but if you haven’t let me know already and you think you would like to go can you come back to me to see if we can fit you in.
