We had a massive number at the Bohermeen Half Marathon and exceptional results were recorded . We also had the winner in the female section with Caitriona Jennings winning in a time of 78.18.Also doing well in the female section were Anne Curley ( 1st O/45 – 88.33) just holding off her sister Florrie ( 2nd O/45 – 88.47) with Sabrina Keogh running 90.53 and Julia Hackett (1:43.39) . The men were equally competitive with many fine runs . Brendan Murphy was our first home in 6th place ( 72.24) followed by Des Tremble (76.22 – 3rd O/45) , James Hoare ( 76.59) Ronan Dunphy (77.11) Paddy Walsh ( 78.32 PB) Ed Hayes ( 79.34 ) Alasdair Brown ( 79.58 PB) Rob Costelloe (80.28) Paul Dunne (80.28 – PB by 3 minutes) Mark O Connor (81.44 PB) Kieran Murphy (82.52 – 1st O/55) Brian Kitson ( 85.05 PB) Andrea Talpo ( 86.30) David Tonge ( 86.52) Brian O Mhurchu (87.25) Tim Murray (87.49) Conor Cleary (88.22 PB) Barry Blake (89.31) Alan King (91.31) James Nealon (91.36) Rob Brannigan (95.17) Shane Greenan (95.14) and Ronan Fennell. There is probably a few more pb’s in there but I wasn’t too sure.
Elsewhere , Michael McMahon finished 3rd in the Dunhallow 10 mile in a time of 55.13. Another podium finish came from Roan Kearns in the Simon 5 mile finishing 3rd in 28.25 with Phil Kilgannon 6th on 28.58 and Ken McKeown running 30.54. Finally at the IMRA race in Maulin Ciaran Aylward finished 7th and Brian McGuickan 30th.
