Plenty to report on over the last few days on the racing front. No better place to begin with than the National Masters Indoors where our two representatives really excelled. Paul F took double gold winning both 800m (2.05) and 1500m (4.20) in the O/40 category. Ronan K agonisingly missed out on gold in his 800m (O/35) by 4 hundreds of a seconds taking silver in 2.03.28.
Niall completed his marathon preparations with victory in the Wicklow Gaol Half Marathon in a time of 74.24.Barbara had a victory also winning the Balbriggan 10k on St Patricks day in 40.03.At the MSB 5k we had a number competing with Fergal R first home from the group in 17.03 followed closely by Kieran (17.07 PB) , Alasdair (17.40 PB) Tomaa 19.49 ,Conor P (20.13 3rd O/55) . In the womens Illona was 6th overall (18.12 and Anne 1st O/40 19.10.
At Clane 5k Eoin K ran 17.27 (PB) for 15th overall and another PB was achieved by Peter B in the Down Syndrome Ireland 5k with a 2nd place overall (18.24).
