Start this week’s report with a second win in three days from Niamh Devlin . Following on from her victory in last Sunday’s Dunleer 4 mile Niamh duly obliged again in the Bettystown 5 mile on Tuesday night in an excellent time of 29.31. Also running was Sean Fox who finished 3rd in the O/40 category in 28.26.
On Wednesday we had the Djouce Imra race and we had a smaller number than usual competing with Brian Kitson 15th , Brian Mc Guickian 38th and Conor Nolan 39th ( 2nd O/60).
On Saturday there was a number of fine performances at the South Dublin 10k in Clondalkin . Geoff Duff was our first finisher in 36.23 followed by Martin Gaynor (36.26 PB) , Gary Cullivan (38.23) , Peter Gray (38.18), Mark Hollowed (39.09), Tomas Dunne (42.25), Dermot McAuley (42.19 PB) an Leah Benson ( 43.12 PB).
Also on Saturday Paul Fleming was 4th in the Edenderry 10 mile ( 56.20) and Eoin Kealy ran 64.57.
Over In Snowdon Ian Conroy finished 38th in the international race.
Finally yesterday , Anthoney Delaney ran a pb of 1:29.01 in the Killarney Half Marathon.
