Half marathon’s and PB’s were the order of the day or should I say weekend. Yesterday we had the Dublin Half Marathon in the Phoenix Park and it always gives me great satisfaction and justification that I am doing something right when we look at the results. Fergal Whitty was our first finisher in 5th place overall and also 1st O/40 in a time of 73.18. Next up was Ronan Dunphy (76.20 PB) followed by Brian O’Mhurchu (77.59 PB) Ed Hayes ( 78.00 PB) Flor O’Donoghue ( 78.16)Tom Feeley (78.21 PB) Alasdair Brown (83.10) Stephen McEntee (83.37 PB) Kieran Murphy (84.13 – 2nd O/55) Alan Hughes (86.55 PB) Tim Murray ( 87.17) Johnny O’Brien (87.37 PB) Adrian Black (88.13 PB) Maurice Mcrohan ( 88.21) Aidan Blake ( 88.27) Eimear Fitzmaurice ( 8th female overall – 88.47 PB) Alan Jones (89.46 PB) Shane Greenan (91.25 PB) Andrew Davies ( 93 mins) Rob Brannigan (1:42.09) and Mick Devine (1.:47.50) . Hopefully I haven’t missed anyone .
Today was the Charleville Half Marathon and although the numbers were far less than yesterday , results were equally impressive . Brian Geraghty was our first finisher in a time of 71:37 (PB) Brian was actually beaten in a photo finish for the 1st O/40 prize ( see our facebook page).Next up was Tom Lupton 73:05 and then came Ciaran Alyward (76.46). So you can see from above some very impressive results with 9 under 80 minutes and a further 11 under the 90 with at least 11 pb’s to boot,
