ust a few results from the last week. Last Tuesday was the Bob Heffernan 5k and Paul Fleming continues to produce some excellent results. Having run the WWR on the previous Saturday , Paul still managed a 9th place overall ( 1st O/40) in a time of 15.44. Next home was Will Byrne (16.57 ) followed by Barry Aherne (17.17) Tom Feeley ( 17.18) and Maurice McCrohan (19.20).
On Wednesday we had the IMRA Three Rock race . Sonya McConnon after posting a record on leg 3 on the Saturday won the women’s race with Liz Wheeler close behind in 2nd place. In the men’s race Brian Kitson was our first finisher in 18th ( 5th O/40) with John McAuley next ( 21st)Gareth Little (46th) Conor Nolan (49th – 1st O/60) and Brian McGuckian ( 50th – 6th O/50).
On Friday Eoin Kealy posted a top ten finish at the Clane 4 mile in a time of 23.48 and James Kelly took silver over 3,000m at the Kilkenny Senior Championships ( 9.24 )
