Definitely a case of Girl Power from our TTracer athletes at the Duleek 10k today. Niamh Devlin yet again took top of the podium in the womens race with a fine win in 37.16. Niamh was backed up by Barbara Murray in 3rd / 1st O/40 (40.04) Sabrina Keogh 4th (40.10) and Ilona Mcelroy 5th (40.26). Not to do be outdone Paul Fleming was 3rd overall and 1st O/40 (33.59) and Mick Devine ran 44.43. Also today, Ian Martin finished 14th ( 42.39) at the Never give Up 10k.
Tom Lupton ran an excellent 32.40 over 10,000m at the National Track & Field championships in Santry.
Yesterday we had a good contingent competing in the Mullingar 10 mile with Fergal Whitty our first finisher in 5th place (55.18) with James Hoare next ( 12th – 58.39) Phil Kilgannon ( 14th – 58.47) Paddy Walsh ( 16th – 59.00) Ed Hayes (25th – 59.55) Mark O’Connor (32nd – 61.41) Conor Kinane ( 56th – 66.29 PB) and Andrea Talpo ( 61st – 67.00)
On Thursday at the Carton House 6k Trail race Barry Aherne was 12th in 22.28 and David Tonge ( 19th – 23.30).
Over on the hills, today we had the Irish Championship run over LugĀ Na Coile and Brian Kitson finished in 21st place. Last Wednesday , Brockagh held the latest instalment of the Leinster League with our regulars participating. Brian Kitson was our first home in 11th with Robbie Costello 16th, Caoimhin McMaolain 32nd, Gareth Little 33rd and Conor Nolan 1st O/60.
