Over the last week we had TTracers running in at least 9 different events and they are the ones that I can fine. This is fantastic to see and would be great if we can get even more of you out.
Last Sunday evening was the Dublin Night Run 10k held in the city centre. Our first finisher in 23rd place was Will Morris (37.56) followed by Ollie McGrath ( 38.45) and Maurico Neto (42.22 PB).
Next up was the Irish Trails Sugar Loaf 7k and I am delighted to say that one of our stalwarts Caomhin MacMaolain won the race . Its always brillant when one of our guys takes home the spoils.
The following day , Caoimhin obviously on a high from his exploits ran the Downshill IMRA race and finished in 14th place. Liz Wheeler posted victory in the women’s race and Conor Nolan who has really seen the benefits of the training lately finished 28th overall and won the O/60 category . Ollie Mc Grath after his Sunday race finish 37th here as well.
Also on Wednesday was the Bristol Myers BHAA 5k in Blanchardstown. Fergal Whitty was our first home in 3rd place ( 1st O/40 – 16.10) followed by Derek Taylor ( 8th -16.41) Ed Hayes ( 11th -17.08) Barry Aherne ( 14th – 17.23) Paraic Shortall ( 22nd – 17.56 ) Our next 3 were 2nd , 3rd and 4th in the O/55 category with Maurice McCrohan ( 19.15) Andy Davies (20.04 ) and Joe Corcoran (20.49).
Alan Bernie ran a pb for 5k in Dundrum , Tipperary with a time of 17.20.
Over the weekend we had the Irish Runner 5k with Andy Davies competing again and this time ran 19.38 and helped his team to 1st in the O/50 category. Florrie Curley followed her win in the Leinster 10 mile with victory here in the O/45 category (19.54).
Yesterday , Michael McMahon had an impressive victory at the Ballyhoura Trail Half Marathon winning by over 4 minutes.
Also yesterday, Niamh Devlin continued her fine recent form with 3rd place at the Drogheda 10k in a time of 37.36 with Alan King (40.54 ) and Gavin Purtill running a PB with 42.09.
Finally at West of Ireland Mini Marathon Eimear Fitzmaurice finished in a fine 8th place and Julia Hackett ran 45.00.
