Very enjoyable Christmas run was had by all who attended this morning. On the racing front we had a small number who engaged in a couple of races over the festive period. Both races being aptly named for the time of year.
Yesterday was the The Fat Turkey 10k Run which was run up to the summit of Howth and back and I am delighted to announce we are able to close off the year with another victory from the group. This time it came from Ian Conroy in a time of 34.12. Ian was followed home in 8th place by Ed Hayes who closed off his fine year with 38.09 run. Seamus Ruddy fresh from his victory in our handicap run finished in 15th (4th O/40 – 38.53) with David Naylor running 41.54.
At the Christmas Cracker 5k held in Morton stadium we had a great battle from two from our group with David Dunwoody (18.44) just edging out Ollie McGrath (18.45) with Robert a little further back in 19.28
There won’t be an organised session for Tuesday but we will be back in action Thursday lunchtime in Sean Moore Park. All that’s left is to wish you all a Happy New Year and here is to an even more successful 2020
