Various terrains and distances to report on this week. First , I want to mention 3 of the guys who ran last weeks Raheny 5 who I omitted from the report. The 3 lads finished with 14 seconds of each other with Mark Hollowed first home of the 3 in 30.20 followed closely by Gavin Hillery (30.30) and TJ Bourke (30.34) .
To this week and first up was the Garda BHAA cross country in the Phoenix Park . Ian Conroy was first home from the group in 4th place with Derek Taylor next in 10th (2nd O/40) followed by Des Tremble (12th – 2nd O/45) Graham O’Dwyer (20th) Paraic Shortall (23rd) Pearse Coyle ( 42nd – 3rd O/50) Colm Belew (44th) David Naylor (46th) and David Grogan (94th)
Today Tom Lupton posted our first overall victory of the year with a win in the Castlecomer Discovery Park IMRA race.
There were two 10 milers at other ends of the country. Down at the Dungarvan 10 Brendan Murphy was our first finisher running a very impressive 53.50 with Fergal Whitty next in 55.28 , Ciaran Alyward 56.39 and John McAuley 59.14.
At the Trim 10 mile Paul O’Brien ran 57.31 , Terry Brady 58.50, Mark O’Connor 61.29, Robert Gilligan 62.42 , Sabrina Keogh ( 10th Female – 65.03) Kieran Murphy ( 65.53 – 2nd O/55) and Maurico Neto 83.05
